DVC at GF?

On the boat ride between MK and FtW a couple of days ago, I was discussing with my husband the location of River Country and speculation on a new DVC there. A transportation CM overheard me and volunteered that it wouldn't be the next DVC to be built. He referenced an Orlando Sentinel article (http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2011-03-23/the-daily-disney/os-disney-grand-floridian-20110322_1_disney-vacation-club-time-time-share-project-global-recession-and-credit) and said that Disney had to go public with it because of some drawings that had become available on the internet. (That article doesn't look at all like Disney going public, but two CMs confirmed Disney did go public with the details.)

It's a perennial rumor, but it's bound to happen sometime. They are supposed to be knocking down some buildings and building new ones. It seems like it would be too noisy to do that much construction so close to the other buildings, but we'll see what they decide to do.

DH and I have decided that Disney needs to build a new monorail resort between the Contemporary Resort, and the TTC. There's plenty of room!!:RpS_biggrin:

I've certainly heard the rumors, too. I'm just seldom in conversation with someone who seems official enough to verify. We're having a lovely time in our Treehouse, however. So, I'll be content with more SSR points.

I LOVE the Treehouses!!!! They are like a total retreat away from everything. It's like getting WDW and a trip to a quite cabin in the woods all in one package!!!!!

I heard that Phase I of DVC at GF will likely be converting current GF rooms to DVC rooms, then Phase II will be adding the new DVC building. Cant remember the source so take it as wild rumor.
