I was thinking about renting DVC for 1 night in May. None of the rental sites (David's, DVC-rental, etc.) handle 1 night rentals. I'm scared of the DIS. Does anyone have a site they can recommend? or any owners looking to rent out a few points?

I just got an email from The Timeshare Store (http://www.dvc-resales.com/). They have points to rent. Here's what was in the e-mail:
We now have points available for rent at $12 a point. If you are interested in renting please let us know via email. If you are a for current member with points that you would like to rent out please contact us and we will be glad to assist.
*We have 150 points that need to be used for a reservation between now and 4/1/12. These points rent for $10 per point instead of the normal $12 per point. If you want to use these points for the reservation we need the following information emailed to sales@dvcstore.com

Try mouseowners.com
You can sometimes find points at 7$-8$ if they're last minute, as well as small amounts...
Good luck and update us if you find anything!

I'm glad it worked out for you. I'm dealing on two DVC purchase contracts now through The Timeshare Store, and their professionalism so far has been admirable.

I'm glad to hear that, George. My husband and I are strongly considering a DVC purchase soon. If we do, it will be resale.
