Freebies for DVC tour?

I know that in the past there have been freebies for touring a DVC resort, such as FastPasses, Food, and gift cards. We haven't toured in the past because we were not in a position to buy in. Well we will probably be in a position next year, and are thinking about touring this year. Does anyone know of any freebies they are giving away for the tours of DVC resorts?

It varies. When we toured a few years ago, we got nothing but the free child care and some ice cream at the end. Others have received a few Fast Passes for their party, and others have gotten Disney gift cards ($20 I think). If you want to do it, do it, but don't count on getting anything. Then if you do get anything, it will be a bonus.

Back in 2009 we got a $15 gift card for each of us... $90! I havent heard of anything recently besides the gc for doing the phone call.

I received a post card in the mail a few months ago that offered a $40 gift card if I listened to a phone presentation. The presentation was maybe 15 minutes, they mailed me some info, and I received the gift card about 5 weeks later.

It seems like if you are willing to work it a bit with the representative you speak to about the possibility of taking the tour, that they will be able to work some sort of comp deal.

My husband and I did the tour in May of 2010 and we had a choice of freebies: $50 GC each or fast passes for everyone in our party. We chose the GC and used that money to stay an extra 2 nights at a value resort with the bounceback offer. The tour and sales pitch did take up most of the morning but it was fun to see the model rooms, unfortunately a DVC is way out of our budget!

I did the tour in Dec 2010 and bought then. We both received FP. Not sure how many we did get though. Oh and ice cream. It did take awhile, but we ended up purchasing.
