My husbands gets very sick from motion simulator rides likes Star Wars. Can someone give me a list of these rides so I know to have him avoid them. Is Sorin' a motion simulator? Thanks :)

Star Tours (although I haven't been on the new version)
Soarin' for some (it is not a regular motion simulator because you actually move, not stay stationary, but it could still affect him that way)
Those are the ones I can think of.

Pam posted this link earlier- I could only think of ST, MS, PW and Tea Cups- but I'm not prone to motion issues.

My sister has motion sickness, but she loves Soarin'. No problems with it at all. I think it's similar to an Imax theatre (but you're moving too. If he's ok with Imax, he may be ok with Soarin. The movement is gentle and flowing. In my opinion...

I am prone to motion issues. Having said that; I love Soarin because it simulates smooth flight which I love. Did Mission Space once and can't do it ever again. Not sure if it's the motion or the claustrophobia. I think if it weren't for the closed quarters, I could deal with it. I did Star Tours this morning for the first time. It is by definition a simulator. I could not keep the 3D glasses on; a little too much over stimulation for me.. BUT I think if I did it a few times in a row, I would get used to it. I really do feel ridiculous sometimes; there were 80 year olds and 3 year olds in there without a care in the world.

My DH went through Navy Seal training and is a genuine tough guy in excellent physical shape, and there's some rides that would turn him green and weak as a baby. It's simply the luck of the draw - just like allergies.
I've never tried him on Soarin, Imax movies bother him. I wish he could see it sometime, it's one of my favorite rides. Our general rule of thumb with him is that he's okay on rides that don't spin, that don't make fast movements in the dark (even TTA is close to affecting him in the dark section), and anything that simulates motion that's not really happening. So, he's good with Splash and Big Thunder, but Space and Everest are completely out of the question.
