View Full Version : Anyone done the math recently? Which ticket to buy from UCT to maximize AP upgrade?

Before we purchased AP's in 2010, I did the math to figure out which tickets I should buy from UCT to get the maximum savings if we were planning to upgrade the tickets to AP's after their first use. Getting ready to do it again, but was wondering if someone on these boards has figured this out already based on the latest ticket prices.

It's the one with the biggest savings that costs less than the Annual Pass, isn't it?

It's the one that has the highest discount whose gate value is still less than the cost of the AP. As I recall, there was one with a bigger discount that was less than the cost of an AP, but that whose WDW gate value was greater than the cost of the AP therefore forfeiting the difference b/t the gate value and the AP (unless you happened to get an extra nice CM who would refund the difference). Does that make sense?

Yep.....that's how it works. So the key is the one with the greatest discount but with a gate value that is less then the AP!!!

I did some figures a while back ago on this post: http://www.easywdw.com/forums/showthread.php?2192-MYW-to-AP-for-Dummies but prices could have changed since then so might need to verify if it is still accurate.
