I'm not sure where this belongs...

We are a little over 60 days out. Itinerary is done, park plans are done, itinerary has been reviewed at least 100 times. dining reservations are set.

now what? i can't possibly read the crowd calendar one more time and love the planning part of the trip, so what planning can I do?

My last trip only had 45 days from booking to travel. This trip has 3.5 months and it's way too long! I need something to do!

Do you want to write October's analysis for me?

Plan my trip. I am 1 month, 2 weeks and 1 day (says my ticker) away. Haven't really done anything yet - LOL. I have a hotel, have some ADRs. I guess I know which parks which days or else I wouldn't have made my ADRs. But that's about it - guess I will give it some more serious thought sometime in the next few weeks.

You could start your packing list - even start your packing if you have some trip only things that can be packed. Read trip reports (maybe not here, since there aren't too many) - that's a good time killer.

Make matching t-shirts
Autograph cards
Decorate clipboards for the autograph cards
Travel games, coloring books, crayons for the trip down
Disney family night/movie night one night a week as a countdown to Disney
Have you got ponchos? Battery operated fans? Water bottles? Powdered drink mix for water? Snacks?

I'm with you Jill. Been planning my May trip forever. Everything is planned, re-planned and planned again. I've moved onto planning my itinerary for my October 2011, May 2012 and May 2013 trips. Why else do you think I'm constantly on this forum, I'm chomping at the bit, but everything is already done. Ugh, the waiting!!!!!

I'll be curious to see what you're doing....

I could "pull a touringplans.com" and change everything.

You guys want me to mix it up a little??

No mixing, please!

I'm exactly a month away and I'm feeling like I'm not ready!

Yes - please mix it up so I can be thrown back into planning mode!

Thanks for the suggestions - maybe I will start shopping since that's another favorite activity.

Janine - here are my plans:

Staying at CSR

5/6 - arrive at MCO 7:30pm. ME to CSR, check in, get settled, sleep.

5/7 - MK (#1 recommended park) RD, 11:30 Crystal Palace. The park closes at 7, so we plan for a 3/4 day.

5/8 - EP (#1 recommended park) RD, break, 6:20 Biergarten (band starts at 7:05), maybe illuminations

5/9 - break in the am. pm to MK (least recommended - red) for 6:20 The Plaza and MSEP at 9. (may cancel the plaza and just do QS since I am one meal over)

5/10 - AK (#1 recommended park) late arrival, Tusker House 10:15, 3/4 day.

5/11 - DHS (#2 recommended park) RD, 11:30 Hollywood and Vine, 3/4 day. DTD for Reglan Road dinner

5/12 - break in the am. pm to EP (#1 recommended park) 5:00 Le Chefs de France

5/13 (dd's b-day!) - MK (#1 recommended park) RD, break, 4:30 BBB, 6:45 CRT, Wishes desert party (may cancel since we will be full from CRT, but really want to go so I am torn)

5/14 - EP (#1 recommended park) or AK (#2 recommended park) - late start, play it by ear see what we are up for

5/15 - break in the am. pm to HS (least recommended park, but still green) 5:00 HBD for Fantasmic! package, Fantasmic! at 9:00pm (also have a 2:20 Mama Melrose FDP reservation so I am debating on RD to Mama Melrose, break and return for Fantasmic! or keeping HBD)

5/16 - late start, 10:55 at Ohana. Kids choice after (likely MK - #3 recommended park). 5:30 ME to MCO for 8:30 flight home!

I think it looks good. Can't answer some of your dilemmas' for you.. I understand exactly where you are coming from, and I'd have the dilemma too! Just make sure you decide that FDP a good week early, so you don't forget and get charged.

I'd probably cancel the Dessert thing-- it might be gilding the lily. You can do it next trip, when you aren't doing the castle. But-- if it's not a big budget consideration for you, go ahead.

5/9 - break in the am. pm to MK (least recommended - red) for 6:20 The Plaza and MSEP at 9. (may cancel the plaza and just do QS since I am one meal over)
I'd keep Plaza. It is inexpensive enough that you can pay out of pocket for it faily painlessly. With the park being red, the CS will probably be crowded. I'd prefer a nice restaurant table.

It's funny - I guess you get what you ask for! My parents have decided to join us for half our trip so now I need to re-look at things and ask for advice again. I am going to post it on a new thread, so please take a look and let me know what you think!

I found something to occupy myself with as well. Time to start my homework in preparation for my fantasy baseball draft.
That'll keep me busy for a bit.

The fact that we're planning the same parks these days assures me that I may be doing something right! :RpS_biggrin:

I have TOO much left to do! Made reservations and ADRs...planned the park for each day....and that's it!:RpS_unsure:

And crazy me decided to make it worse: We may be buying a minivan right before the trip. (needed one anyway - cars just don't work anymore with three growing kids, one being a teenager) So I have to look into that.

And then I decided to make a car quilt (my first ever) to take on, and commemorate, the trip. I'll be pushing it to finish in time. It has several Disney patterns in it, so I have to do it in secret so I don't blow the whole trip surprise. If you need something to do...try that!:RpS_laugh:
