I need help picking an Epcot lunch for our trip in January. We are a party of 11 - my family (2 adults, dd15, ds13, dd11), mil & fil, sil's family (2 adults, niece 5 & nephew 7). We are already doing Cinderella's Royal Table so we don't need princesses this day . I'm thinking Coral Reef (my family has been 4-5 times & have always had a good meal), Teppan Edo (my family has been once before & loved it), Via Napoli (had a nice meal here in May), Rose & Crown (one of my favorites), or Biergarten (would be new to everyone). I'm open to any other suggestions. I just checked and there is availability at most Epcot restaurants. It's easy for me to pick for my family but I'm not sure what would work best with my sil's younger kids.

I'd probably opt for Via Napoli - the food is fantastic, and it's also kid-friendly.

VN- you could get a nice sitdown lunch for a reasonable price.
I have always liked SAI- and the inside is so intresting.
We eat at Beirgarten frequently(since we are German)-my kids love going to get as much as they want(they are older)

Choose any of the 3 and you will be happy.

Do you want to all be able to sit at one table? If yes, you really need to cross some of these restaurants off your list because you can't get that many people at one table at Coral Reef, Teppan Edo or Biergarten. Of course you also can't fit at one table at CRT so maybe you don't care about that. You can be seated at tables beside each other but you'll definitely be at separate tables.

My family would choose Biergarten in this instance. Well, they choose it in any instance.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I think I've decided on Via Napoli for the group. When we went it was quick, the food was good and since sil's kids are not big eaters & she is pretty frugal I think she will like that they can easily share meals. At Biergarten they would have to pay $15 each kid regardless of whether they only ate 2 bites of something. HOWEVER, I've also booked Biergarten for my family the day after they leave. :RpS_tongue:

Via Napoli is probably the best choice for the group. Who doesn't like pizza/Italian?

I can't believe I've missed Biergarten on all my trips. I had no idea that was a buffet. Reading through the menu (http://allears.net/menu/men_ger.htm) and seeing the lunch prices especially, I'm pretty impressed. We'll definitely have to hit that on a future trip!

If you go at dinner, they have Sauerbraten. I'm just saying - totally worth it. Sauerbraten is one of my reasons for living.

My mom used to make sauerbraten back when I was a kid. I never ever tried it. Me, my brother and sister would always hold our noses because we thought it smelled so bad. I bet I would love it now. Unfortunately when we go to Disney in June my sister and brother will be on the trip and neither of them would eat anything at Biergarten so it's not an option.

Pick one that sounds good, and that offers something you can't easily get at home. Hard to go wrong as long as you do that.

When you go without them, it's worth it to check it out. Sauerbraten is delightfully tangy and shouldn't require a knife to cut it. There's isn't the best sauerbraten I've ever had, but it's a far cry better than a lot of places.

Win/ Win...The pizza and salad is a great meal and not that expensive at VN, and then you can try the Beigarten on your own!!! We love rouladen(but I do not think they have it there) we always find everything we love there and lots of it!!!!
