I just re-booked my car for my October trip at $145 for 8 days, down from $220, on Alamo.
Check your rates again, and use your coupons! I like to start at www.orbitz.com just to see base rates. Then I'll go to the individual car company's site and use my coupon codes.
Good luck!

Bummer, not for me - yet...
I'm still getting $235 for my 10/14 - 10/21 rental (20% plus $30 discount). There's still time, I'll keep checking...

It is saying that they are sold out for my dates....weird. Are you logged on as an Alamo Insider?
I have been trying to find a good rate on a compact for Dec 14-25 to/from MCO with a pickup and drop off time of 4:30 but to no avail.....it's like my ISP is linked to the high prices server or something lol
Is Alamo usually the best priced? The lowest I found was $233 with Hotwire....but if they are selling out, maybe I should bite the bullet?

Try altering your pick-up/drop-off times by about 30 minutes. Oftentimes they're only "sold out" during one time slot.

Or it may be because the particular codes above aren't valid for a December rental?

I don't think the codes are good for my dates and without them Alamo is like $424 for the duration.
Ugh...I guess $233 is better through Hotwire.

I can't tell when your travel dates are for this trip by looking at your ticker, but any of those dates is still a long way off. Keep checking as your date(s) approach, especially in the month before your trip. Rates tend to drop then if you're not traveling during peak times. Whatever you do, don't commit to a rate now. Hold a guaranteed rate that can be cancelled or changed.

My dates are Dec 14 @ 5:30p - Dec 25 @ 4:30p (plane times)...so it will be peak time.
