What is your favorite DVC perk or discount?
I suppose my favorite DVC perk is the discounted AP rates. That usually pushes us in the green for APs which we just love.

I'd have to go with the discounted AP as well. With the DVC and renewal discounts, it's hard NOT to continually renew them! There is a downside, though. It's almost impossible for me to justify the cost of 2-day Universal tickets to see the Harry Potter World when going to a Disney park is "free." :D

I rent DVC points but I like the free internet perk.

My husband would say something to do with DVC and Golf discounts or something.
I like the AP discounts.
Our son like the internet and community hall.

AP Discounts are the best Then we get our TIW card to get discounted dining so no need for dining plan. Can't beat it!

We've never actually used the AP discounts because we tend to do one longer trip a year, rather than multiple short ones. However - I anticipate that changing in the not too distant future.
At the moment - we like the free internet. I can't really be away from a solid internet connection for more than two or three days because of work and school, so not having to pay for that service is a definite bonus.

Agree with the AP discount. Discounts have dwindled since we first joined.

AP discount. No contest.
We do the every-other-year AP and get two "big" trips out of it. Can't beat $100+ off! And with the AP comes other misc. benefits, including TIW.

I do like the free internet, but the best perk for us is the AP discount. $100 x five people is significant, plus we get a TiW card which saves us some money on TS dining. We are also on the every other year plan. We went to WDW for a week in Dec 2011, a few days in April 2011 and will be back for almost a week in November. Then we plan to take a year off and start all over in Dec 2012.

I'm not mk (nor do I play her on TV :RpS_biggrin:) but I do know the answer to your question. The every-other-year plan works like this, Say your vacation works out to be best to take in August. So, year one you go the second week in August and then the following year you go the first week in August (just before the AP expires) therefore allowing you to use the AP for the 2 trips even though you only go once a year!!!
And yes, TIW is Tables in Wonderland!!!
I think for us the biggest perk is the internet. I'd like it to be the AP but since we do DLR and WDW every year......the Premier pass is the better option for us which doesn't get a discount :RpS_thumbdn:.
While the AP discount provides a much bigger value, it does not fit in with my current ticket strategy, so for us, it is the free internet.

Brenda nailed it.
We purchased APs last year in mid-August with an expiration of mid-August this year. We'll go again at the beginning of August this year. When our APs expire, we'll then be without an AP until the following August at which time we'll purchase new ones.
Financially, it works out that we pay $558 (DVC discounted PAP) rather than $669 (6d MYW + WPF&M x 2 trips) per adult ticket for two trips.
And the "no discount on Premier APs" just STINKS!! DVC on both coasts, DVC discounts on APs on each coast, but no discount on the coast-to-coast AP? Boo hiss!

Although we haven't been able to take advantage of the AP discount I can definately see how that would be everyone's favorite. So I will need to go with the what seems to be the second favorite here, the free internet.
