A lot of us have been members of TGM at one time or another.

I am unsure of who everyone is from over there because so many of us have changed usernames.
I feel like I'm at a masquerade ball! :RpS_tongue:

So, I thought we could clear up the confusion by posting who we are/were known as over on TGM.

I had never even HEARD of TGM until I learned about it from this forum maybe a month or so ago! Honestly, until we started being WDW regulars (FL seasonal passes), I didn't bother with much planning or Disney-related websites. Then I found easyWDW and really haven't looked elsewhere except for "specialty" information (resort maps, menus, etc) and of course to DisneyWorld.com. I told my DW back in the fall that this site looked good and had great potential -- glad I was right!

I,too, have always been leary of the DIS. Not just for the flaming though. More for the lack of correct info. You really can't believe everything over there and good luck finding a post again sometimes. Also, recently, I listened to one of their pod casts while walking (thought it would be a good time passer) the hosts were talking about recent refurbs and the FL expansion. I remember thinking it was amazing what they did NOT know or had never heard of. For ex: one of them brought up the legend of the ring at HM. The other two had never heard of it???

Anyway, I am thrilled to see so many of you making your way over here!

But I am still sad over the collapse of TGM. I know it's silly really. After all, my friends that I made there are either here or on FB or a text away on my phone. I feel sad, too. For 5 years, TGM was my morning ritual. Make coffee, let out dog, get the coffee, read the posts, move a few, answer a few. Catch up on the LWT, and the rest of the PP, start the day.
I still do all that, but its so hollow.
I'm bridging out of TGM by doing TGM and easy at the same time for a while.

Kinda like I got my dog about a month before I had to stop the IVs, and put the cat to sleep. I really loved that cat... But the new dog made the parting easier.

If you don't get one promptly, (and I feel really sad saying this) dispute it with your credit card company and report it to the Better Business Bureau. Well I do need to say that I did get a response on my refund. No refund though. But they are supposedly going to send it to me snail mail do to me being subscribed awhile back. So I will let everyone know if I ever receive it. I have been locked out of the site, which I am okay with. Didn't want to be there anymore anyway.

If you are a new member you probably have higher hopes of a refund. I was subscribed for the fourth time and for about 6 months this time, so that is what caused the problem. But it seems hit and miss, because many aren't even getting a response.
