Location: Main Street Bakery is located on the right side of Main Street about half way up.
Food Type: Sandwiches, Ice Cream, Baked Treats, Cake, etc.
Dining Plan: One quick service credit and many items count as snacks.
Menu and Food Choices:

Ham and Cheese Sandwich on the left and Turkey and Cheese on the right. Both $6.99.

Seasonal Cupcakes: $3.99.

Cinnamon Rolls – $3.99 and they look even better in “real life.”

Chocolate Croissants – $2.99.

Baked items can vary by the day. Most are between $3 – $5 and most everything is a snack credit.

The Turkey and Cheese Sandwich as advertised. It was perfectly decent, but you’d be hard pressed to convince me it’s anything particularly special. Everything was fresh and it’s a generous helping of turkey, even if it’s a bit “front loaded” to look like it’s more than it is. The lettuce is cleverly placed over the tomatoes to protect the bread from getting too soggy in the case.

The sandwiches are served dry and your only condiment choices are mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup. I enjoyed the sandwich, but I’m not sure I would choose it over more interesting items elsewhere. It’s not much more than “just a sandwich” you could make at home. That said, it’s relatively inexpensive and filling. Just keep in mind that you can order most other entrees without their sides for $2 less, which drops them to the same price range as the sandwiches. I don’t have any qualms about recommending the sandwiches, but the ones at Starring Rolls at Hollywood Studios and Sunshine Seasons at Epcot are going to be more interesting. Most resorts also serve more interesting options.
Advantages:
- Some of the best baked goods on property. The Cinnamon Rolls are out of this world.
- The Ice Cream Sandwiches are a snack credit, gigantic, and plenty to share.
- The Sandwiches are decently priced, portable, and taste good with high quality ingredients.
- One of the best breakfast locations in the Parks with hot egg and croissant sandwiches.
Disadvantages:
- Lines can be long from 10am – 1:30pmpm and 4pm – 7pm.
- Limited indoor seating during peak times.
Value: Value is high on the baked goods, particularly the Cinnamon Roll and Ice Cream Sandwiches. The other items are decently priced considering the high quality and the fact that you’re at Walt Disney World. The Sandwiches are a decent value.
Reputation: Main Street Bakery is almost universally loved and one of the highest rated establishments of any kind at Walt Disney World.
Seating:
Indoor seating is limited to just a few tables and there are just a couple of tables right outside. Look for a bar along the edge of the seating area with additional seating. I recommend continuing down toward Plaza Ice Cream at the end of Main Street and looking for additional seating there if indoor seating is unavailable. You can also check Casey’s Corner to the left. If all else fails, head to Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant, which is located closer than you might expect – just walk to the end of Main Street and take a right. Also look out for the three tables located in a nook to the right of the Crystal Arts store.
Condiments:

In addition to the usual condiments and mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard for the sandwiches, Monin beverage syrups are available.

I make it a point to stop in here every visit for a treat. Mom and I had lunch here the last time. We liked the turkey and cheese sandwich wedge and it doesn’t look like much but it is very filling and was very good. That and a fruit tart! Oh yes, I love love love the fruit tarts. The cinnamon roll is okay too, but I don’t get all the hype over it. It’s just a cinnamon roll with tons of gooey sugary glaze.
On at least one morning during each vacation, my family makes it a point to eat breakfast from Main Street Bakery. The cinnamon rolls and breakfast croissants are always perfect. We have found the fruit to be a bit hit-and-miss. We enjoy eating our food at the tables near Casey’s so we can watch people pouring in and listen to the trolley show.
The nice thing about getting a sandwich at the Main Street Bakery is if you’re on the dining plan. My understanding is you can get any one of those yummy treats for dessert. Do they still have the tomato & mozzarella sandwich?
One of my favorite memories from our last trip in Nov. 2011 is my 12 year-old son sitting on the curb on Main Street waiting for the afternoon parade. He’s eating a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich with a smile of pure satisfaction. It made the best picture. Definitely one of the best uses of a snack credit!!
