Aloha Isle

11/12/13 Update: Menu updated.

Aloha Isle is located in Adventureland near the entrance to Swiss Family Treehouse.  The Tinker Bell Meet and Greet is to the right and if we continued walking in this direction, we’d shortly be at Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Aloha Isle is a cult favorite among many because of the Dole Whip and the Dole Whip Float, which you can’t get at very many other places these days.

It’s my personal favorite reconstituted-from-a-powder-non-dairy-treat, but they may be overrated.  Since you’re not going to find Dole Whips in too many other places (Captain Cook’s at the Polynesian Resort is the other location on Disney property), I do recommend getting one to at least share, but my personal preference is the Citrus Swirl from nearby Sunshine Tree Terrace.  People do love these things though.

For an extra dollar, you can get your choice of Dole Whip flavor mixed with Pineapple Juice – extremely refreshing and highly recommended.

Note that there are separate lines on each side.  If the line is long, check the other side.  One side is usually longer than the other depending on time of day and which way most people are walking.

Seating

Aloha Isle has a limited amount of seating in a small nook to the left of the building.  There are also a lot of benches across from it, but some of it doubles as a smoking section.  Head down to nearby Tortuga Tavern across from Pirates of the Caribbean if you’re looking for a table and there aren’t any available.

This is the first place I go when I arrive at WDW. Dole Whip Float to start the vacation right. Been doing this for years now! It’s tradition.

The pineapple/orange swirl with Sprite is one of the more fun floats I’ve had, and I’ve taken to ordering it regularly, since I’m not crazy about pineapple flavor. It costs the same as a regular dole whip float and has a nice zest from the Sprite. I recommend it!

I didn’t care much for the Dole Whip (or was it a swirl) I dunno my wife got one, I like pineapple just fine but the flavor with the texture of soft serve put me off quite a bit.

Everyone in our party of 7 tried something from Ahola Isle because of the recommendations. I loved the pineapple Dole Whip and other family members enjoyed the different flavors. The servings were huge. My 8 year-old asked for a root beer float and was served one that could have quenched the thirst of 4! Funny you mentioned to check both lines. The one of the left had about 20 people waiting and there were only 3 in front of us on the right. :-)

Recently had my first Dole Whip Float. Loved it and a great deal for a snack on the DDP.

My pregnant wife made a list of all the quick serve/table service/snack locations she wants to hit when we go down in January… Dole Whip made all 4 spots of her snack choices…. Can’t deny a pregnant woman!!!

Nothing is more refreshing than a Dole Whip float.
With the exception of my oldest son, who has not willingly eaten a fruit or vegetable in almost 10 years, everyone in my family is addicted to these beauties.
